I ran a 5K race this weekend with my daughter. I was first in my age group. My daughter was second in her age group.
It was a thrill for my daughter because it was first time she won a medal in a race other than running for her school track team.
It was not the first time I have won a 1st place medal in my age group. I have a whole bunch hanging in my office at home.
In addition, when I was running on the AT&T Corporate track team I actually won a race. I was the overall winner, THE first place finisher of that race.
Even though the race I won was small, about 100+ runners, on that particular day, I was the fastest.
What is your edge of first place?
What is your edge of being the very best at what you do at one particular moment?
What is your edge of being the first place parent, friend, spouse, employee, or runner?
Give it a try today. Make the effort. You never know where your effort will take you.
