the edge of retrogrades

A “retrograde” is defined as backwards motion; moving backward; having a backward direction; having or being in motion in a direction contrary to that of the general motion of similar objects.

You may hear people mentioning the planet Mercury (or other planet) is in retrograde.  During a retrograde, the planet Mercury “appears” to move backwards in the sky when it is observed from the Earth.

However, the planet Mercury just “appears” to move backwards.  No planets in our solar system (that we know about anyway) actually orbit the Sun backwards.

Retrogrades are actually “illusions” that result from our point of view from Earth.  The illusions occur because the Earth is orbiting the Sun at a different speed than the other planets.

According to astrologers, Mercury is a planet which governs “transportation and communication issues.”  When Mercury is in retrograde, you may experience constant cancellations, delays, postponements and re-scheduling.

Mercury is in retrograde from June 26th to July 20th, 2013.  Are you feeling its affects?

Even if you don’t believe in astrology, what is your retrograde edge?

What part of your life do you “see” having a backward motion?

Is there any issue or event that is causing you to move in a motion contrary to those around you?

If you recognize any retrogrades in your life, why are “orbiting” at a different speed than others?

Are you repeating a pattern over and over that is causing this different orbital speed?

Remember, even if you are in a “retrograde” in your life you are still moving forward and experiencing soul growth.

Can you view any “retrogrades” in your life as the “illusions” they really are?
